This looks like a great sports book that my high schoolers would love! Basketball and football books are very popular with many of my boys.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought when I saw it. A bit too mature for my elementary school students, but a great story for YA readers. :-)
ReplyDeleteI need to work on adding books to my sports section in the library. I definetly have students that would like to read this book.
ReplyDeleteMany of my friends say that keeping the sports section up to date is the hardest part of maintaining a library collection.
ReplyDeleteCarl Deuker is actually my favorite sports writer. I loved his book Runner. Mike Lupica is my second favorite.
ReplyDeleteMy 4th and 5th graders love the Mike Lupica books in our collection.
